Red Chili Rest Camp
The Banda accommodation units contain mosquito nets, fan and electric lights. The towels and linen are provided. The power sockets exist in self-contained twin and family Bandas but for standard safari tents and Bandas, the power sockets are available in the bar area where clients’ gadgets like cameras and phones can be charged.
The power is generator powered and runs from 8am to 2pm and from 4:30pm to midnight. The inverter with battery backup provides outside lighting and ensures the running of fans in the family bandas during the generator break intervals. The basic bandas have candles and safari tents have paraffin lanterns to provide lighting at night. The tents have beddings though with no towels. The twin safari tents are treated with mosquito repellant are equipped with mesh windows which ensures an insect free night to a Uganda safari tour undertaker in Murchison Falls National Park.
Red Chili Rest Camp has got a well-stocked bar and restaurant featuring a grass thatched roof with impressive views of the Nile River below. The Red Chili bar is open for drink taking from 6:15am until midnight. Meals at the restaurant are served at these respective intervals. The breakfast 7.20am – 10.30am, lunch 11.30am – 3pm and Dinner 6.30pm – 9pm. The Alacarte is menu is available for breakfast and lunch while the dinner features 3 dishes every day including one red meat, one vegetable option and one white meat/fish. Red Chili can also serve packed breakfasts thus advance order before 8pm on the previous day is very important. As long as the bar is open, coffee and tea are always available.
The Red Chili Rest Camp lit evening bon fires to offer a touch of real African experience if the weather permits. The solar heater systems are used to heat water in en-suite bandas though the high temperatures in Murchison area might not favor the use of hot water.
