Kabalega Wilderness Lodge

Tracing the great heritage roots of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom with its famous Omukama (King) Kabalega who is worldly known for desisting against British colonial rule, Kabalega wilderness lodge stands along the southern boundary of the Uganda safari tour destination of Murchison Falls National Park. The accommodation establishment offers luxury accommodation in its safari cabins that are spread across 7 acres of typical African savannah wilderness that stretch up to the banks of the famous Nile River which stands as the longest River in the whole world.



The accommodation units are crafted out of wood and mud while the roof is thatched with the locally generated grass hand-picked from the rolling savannah combretum that lies in the savannah plains of northern Uganda. The lodge features a typical African décor with handcrafted fixtures. The open design of the dinning and the cabins offers breath taking views of wilderness.

Kabalega Wilderness Lodge presents two designs for the cabins including the deluxe cabins which feature en suite private facilities. They have double or twin beds and have a private deck with impressive views of the wilderness area. The single safari cabins are fitted with timber deck balcony that offers good views of the wilderness area. The rooms are self-contained with an enclosed bathtub and toilet. The lodge has a lounge and restaurant on the highest point of the River bank with the views of the river and the wilderness area. Kabalega Wilderness lodge also has evening camp fire where guests gather to experience the typical African night.
